I just can’t seem to keep a promise I make to myself. I read all the new information, I set goals, I get myself all psyched up with a positive mental attitude and tell myself I can do it. I know I’m overweight, and I really want to change. I’ve started a new diet-for the fifth time this year. I’m not even sure I know myself and what’s really important to me. I don’t know my wife and children anymore. But it’s cost me my personal and family life. I’ve set and met my career goals and I’m having tremendous professional success. I suspect some of the problems they have shared with me may be familiar to you. In more than 25 years of working with people in business, university, and marriage and family settings, I have come in contact with many individuals who have achieved an incredible degree of outward success, but have found themselves struggling with an inner hunger, a deep need for personal congruency and effectiveness and for healthy, growing relationships with other people. There is no real excellence in all this world which can be separated from right living. These habits can range from simple things like getting enough sleep and taking breaks, to more complicated things like analyzing your work schedule and setting goals.Infographics designed by : Elina Diaz and Roberto Nunez The main takeaway here is that it’s important to have good productivity habits. That’s why consistency is key when forming new habits! In order for us humans not only survive but thrive throughout our lives there was no choice but develop patterns of behavior which became ingrained into us through repetition until eventually these patterns become what we call ‘ habits‘. That said, habits can be broken easily as well-if someone slips up once or twice then they might end up back at square one trying to build their habit again. For example, if you form the habit of getting out of bed in the morning, then walking over to the coffee maker and making yourself some coffee instead of waking up groggy, your body will be conditioned for it so that when it comes time for bed again at night (and this is important), it will automatically want coffee again (it’s called habituation). They also get your body used to doing something that will save you time so you can focus on other things. They’re automatic, and thus don’t require any effort from you. Habits can increase productivity and make life easier. So read on for seven habits that will help you get more done in less time! All you need are some simple habits that can be easily incorporated into your daily routine. The good news is that it doesn’t take much to boost your productivity and make life easier. Productivity is a goal that many of us struggle with: we want to be more productive but don’t know how.
